Phonecast

Phonecast

Where it all began

One of ipadio's basic services is the “phonecast”. A phonecast is a combination of a telephone call and a blog that doesn’t require internet access. It's possible to phonecast from any phone, anywhere in the world, live to the web.

ipadio provides the ability to phonecast live using the telephony network, or in high-definition using one of ipadio's smartphone apps. ipadio phonecasting also includes voice to text integration, automatic geolocation, cross-posting to social networks, and the ability to embed channels in blogs or websites.

Phonecasting is where it all started for ipadio (the clue is in our name Internet Protocol Radio): we had the simple goal of broadcasting from any phone, anywhere in the World live to the web.

ipadio's public phonecasting service is available at www.ipadio.com and you can even have a go for yourself here www.ipadio.com/live

Phonecasts from around the world

The simplicity of ipadio's phonecasting idea has seen millions of people making, listening and enjoying phonecasts from around the World - from the top of Everest, the middle of the Atlantic to the streets of Cairo or the devastation in Haiti - ipadio has been used everywhere.

For corporates interested in creating podcasts & cross-posting to web, social media or corporate databases see the British HorseRacing Authority, Amnesty International or Oxfam.
